Sick of the friendships members of his own team had established with those of RED - and sick of the ongoing ceasefire and lack of bloodshed, the insane medic began to create his own order, to set the fundation for his own team. The Global Renewal System, or GRN, for short.
His promises high - but his true motivation nothing but the lust for blood. After forging an alliance with an dangerous assassin from his 'former' team leader's past, they started killing off BLU members - or convincing them to join GRN. All this while the respawn system was temporarily down.

Of course Keller had to face the man who took him in, hid him from the law's grasp, offered him a place to live - and kill, without the police being on his every step. Thomas would realise his failure.
